September 26-30th

Dear Parents,
Just a couple of reminders for the week:

The kiddos did really well on their first spelling test. Remember they are learning to take a test, the words will get harder and we will be adding a sentence. For now, we just want them to learn how to study and take a test.

Monday’s pre-test: am, have, I, like, me

In Language Arts we are learning to write at least 3 good sentences. We are taking a simple sentence and making it better. They are trying to come up with ideas on their own and writing about them.

In Math, we will be learning about money, just a little bit for now and in a few more weeks we will visit money again. So practice with your student at home. Have them identify coins and their value.

In Science, we need your help this week! If you could send a few pieces of fruit with your child this week that would be great! We will be sinking and floating, measuring, weighing the fruit this week.

Our library time has been changed to Friday’s at 12:30, so please put your child’s library book in their backpacks before Friday so they can check out a book.

9/29 is Chick-fil-a day
9/30 Spirit Day (wear your red shirts!)
10/3 Watch Dog Dad’s begins
10/10 No School, it is Conference Day. If you want to conference please let me know as I have a few times still available. If that day doesn’t work for you, e-mail me and we can set up another day.
